Creamy Chicken soup

The weather is cold outside and it's soup season!!!😊 I made one of my favorite go to Creamy Chicken Soup using @drkellyannpetrucci chicken broth.

A perfect bowl of hearty creamy soup really warms my heart.šŸ² It's was so good that I had to go for a second bowl🤭 All of the spices and natural flavors went well together. It's a simple recipe that will be part of my family dinner routine from now on. I want to share my recipe below for you guys. šŸ² #comfortfood #goodforthesoul #drkellyannbonebroth #soupseason


Creamy chicken recipe:

• 1 teaspoon olive oil

• 1 cup peeled diced carrots

• ¾ cup diced celery

• ½ cup diced onion

• 2 cups cooked chopped chicken

• 2 cups chicken broth, (I used low sodium)

• 1 tablespoon chicken bouillon

• 2 bay leaves

• 1 teaspoon paprika

• 1 tablespoon dried parsley

• 1 teaspoon turmeric

• ½ teaspoon minced garlic

• 1 cup milk/non-dairy

• 2 tablespoons of flour


•In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion, carrots, celery and onion and cook for 5 minutes


• Pour in the broth and add the chicken bouillon, bay leaves, parsley, turmeric, garlic powder and stir everything together.


• Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook, uncovered or partially covered, for 12-14 minutes until the vegetables are tender.


• Add the flour and whisk to combine until smooth paste forms. Remove from the heat.


• Add the milk to the soup and heat through. Add the roux to the soup to thicken.


• Serve with warm bread and enjoy!
