Creamy Chicken soup

The weather is cold outside and it's soup season!!!š I made one of my favorite go to Creamy Chicken Soup using @drkellyannpetrucci chicken broth.

A perfect bowl of hearty creamy soup really warms my heart.š² It's was so good that I had to go for a second bowlš¤ All of the spices and natural flavors went well together. It's a simple recipe that will be part of my family dinner routine from now on. I want to share my recipe below for you guys. š² #comfortfood #goodforthesoul #drkellyannbonebroth #soupseason
Creamy chicken recipe:
⢠1 teaspoon olive oil
⢠1 cup peeled diced carrots
⢠¾ cup diced celery
⢠½ cup diced onion
⢠2 cups cooked chopped chicken
⢠2 cups chicken broth, (I used low sodium)
⢠1 tablespoon chicken bouillon
⢠2 bay leaves
⢠1 teaspoon paprika
⢠1 tablespoon dried parsley
⢠1 teaspoon turmeric
⢠½ teaspoon minced garlic
⢠1 cup milk/non-dairy
⢠2 tablespoons of flour
ā¢In a large saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion, carrots, celery and onion and cook for 5 minutes
⢠Pour in the broth and add the chicken bouillon, bay leaves, parsley, turmeric, garlic powder and stir everything together.
⢠Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook, uncovered or partially covered, for 12-14 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
⢠Add the flour and whisk to combine until smooth paste forms. Remove from the heat.
⢠Add the milk to the soup and heat through. Add the roux to the soup to thicken.
⢠Serve with warm bread and enjoy!
